图书介绍:《佛言》是德国人三界智尊者(1878~1957)编写的一本英语佛学入门读物,其内容主要译自巴利文原典,系统阐述了佛教的基本思想,包括佛法僧、四圣谛、正见、正思维、正语、正业、正命、正精进、正念、正定等佛教常识性内容,已流传百年。自2007年开始,中国佛学院将此书选为研究生的教材,2009年开始,中国佛学院开设的佛教中级居士英语班也将此书选为教材。经过多年的教学实践,中国佛学院研究部园慈法师根据教学的需要对全书进行改编,每单元基本上由相对完整的原著独立章节组成,为了平衡各教学单元,也适当合并和拆分了部分章节,使之更加符合教材的要求。全书分为15个单元,其后加附录。每个单元包括课文、英汉单词对照、语法要点、思考题。附录部分包括巴利文、英文、中文对照表和课文的中文翻译,这样更加方便学习。
